When I first entered the CRE industry in 1988 as a graduate of The Florida State University's renowned Real Estate program (we were ranked "Top Five" real estate curriculum then - just as we remain now ... Go 'Noles!), the CRE space could not have been more clandestine, nefarious, and secretive.
Real cloak-n-dagger stuff.
There were a handful of people in the CRE space that were very successful, and made a lot of money - but those (selfish) people would never explain nor share how they got there with anyone else.
These people would lie, cheat, and steal to maintain whatever edge they had - or at least an edge they thought they had. Others would lock their desk drawers and keyboards while on bathroom or lunch breaks, or before going home for the evening. Heck, even as late as 2016 when I had a "cup-of-coffee-pit-stop" in my career as an investment sales and capital markets advisor in the Boca Raton office of Colliers International, I caught - RED-HANDED - one of the brokers in that office sifting through my garbage can when he thought I had left for the day (... DM me if you wanna know who it was ...).
With more tools, assets, and content available to us than at any other time in history, there just isn't any room in my orbit for greedy, self-serving people coming from a place of scarcity.
And there shouldn't be in yours, either.
You get what you give, and the more you give, the more you get.
So after literally being nauseated by these "market participants" (hint: sellers and other brokers are the WORST), I was moved to create what had been lacking.
Now, this industry has an ever-expanding repository of not just better tools, assets, and content - but a communal environment of other like-minded individuals that are more interested in attaining success through helping others attain their success (1).
